The Player of the Week honor goes to Caiya Hanks after her clutch performance to lift Wake Forest(w) to the College Cup.
MORE: Women's Division l Scoreboard
The Hawaii native gave the Deacs an early lead versus USC, latching on to a through ball and blasting her attempt into the top corner. But the Trojans fought back, scoring twice to take a 2-1 second-half lead. In desperation, with ten minutes remaining, Hanks delivered again, showing incredible effort to chase down a misplaced pass, winning possession from the unsuspecting defender and setting up a teammate for the 2-2 equalizer. Wake Forest would then win in penalty kicks, with the junior forward playing 107 of 110 minutes in a tireless performance.
